Tenor Voices

 

In previous articles, we discussed female voice types and their colors. So today we are moving to the male voice types. Under the male voice type, we have to know about the Tenors. 

Tenor is the highest classification of male voice type. The tenor voice is a really popular voice type in contemporary music. That there are many different voices in Tenor voice type. Namely,

💨Lyric 

💨Spinto

💨Dramatic

If a tenor can sing higher than this modal range, they probably will get into the category of Countertenor. 

Lyric Tenor

The lyric tenor has a warm grateful sound. And it is really bright and strong but not heavy. 

Spinto Tenor

The Spinto tenor has more brightness and color than the Lyric tenor. But Spinto Tenor voice heavier with weight. Because Spinto tenor has a darker timbre than a lyric tenor.

Dramatic Tenor

Dramatic tenor has a more rich powerful sound which is very emotive and ringing voice.
