Soprano Voices

We discussed male and female voice types in the previous article. Today especially we are going to discuss Soprano voice types.  The Soprano voice types are starting from the C4 to C6 on the piano. Normally, every voice type uses two octaves to classify the human voice. But that is not mean the singer must sing only two octaves. Because they have the freedom to go higher and lower as they prefer.

Coloratura soprano

The highest soprano is called a coloratura soprano. That is the highest of all the human voice. They have really the lightest voice of all voice types. And they can go very high like instrument piccolo.

Lyric Soprano
The lyric soprano also has a lighter voice like the coloratura soprano. But it is a little bit heavier and fuller sound than the coloratura soprano.

Spinto Soprano
The Spinto Soprano also a heavy soprano. But it is not a heavy soprano like lyric Soprano. Actually, It is between the lyric sopranos and harvest of all sopranos.

Dramatic Soprano
The dramatic Sopranos is the biggest soprano voice in the Soprano voice type. It is really dark and big.

These are the types of Soprano voice Category. So I hope to explain another voice type in my next article.
